Greetings to the Cowichan Valley RC Community,

The incredible satisfaction of developing new relationships here at our revitalised DUNCAN RC has now been tempered with personal angst.

As many of you are aware, I was a Logistics Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy prior to embracing DUNCAN RC.  Recently, I have been offered a position with an International Logistics Organisation in Luxembourg. The opportunity to live with my family in Europe, experience the rich heritage and culture and undertake new challenges in an international setting has thrust an unexpected dilemma upon the Butler Family.

The past 18 months at DUNCAN RC have been incredible and heartwarming. The opportunity to meet one and all throughout the RC Community, to learn more about the hobby on a regular basis from my fellow hobbyists and to nurture the business has been overwhelmingly satisfying.

Angst and Excitement. What to do?

The past week has been consumed with numerous late-night discussions with my wife, Dawn and family discussions at the table with our beautiful children. Consequently, with a heavy heart, I have made the decision to either sell or close DUNCAN RC by close of business on 18 August 2018.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to one and all for your amazing support for the hobby and, more importantly, to DUNCAN RC. We could not have succeeded without you. I hope to see each and everyone of you over the coming weeks so that I may personally thank you, share a cup of coffee and a story or two.

Regards,

Malcolm Butler
